Managing Anxiety in Acute Psychedelic Experiences

Feeling nervous about psychedelics is normal, and anxiety can be part of the acute experience. In this 60 minute harm reduction workshop, we’ll explore what happens in the brain and nervous system during altered states, why anxiety can arise, and how to work with it skillfully.

You’ll learn practical set and setting strategies, common patterns that amplify distress, and simple breathwork and regulation tools to help you stay grounded when intensity rises. The goal is to help you meet the experience with more steadiness, safety, and confidence.

Educators: Kelsey Taylor, MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Wisconsin Madison, Hearthkeeper at Entheo Church, joined by special guest Rachel Coccia, MA of Moonglade Therapy, grief and trauma therapist serving Seattle and Washington State.
